Chocolate Snappers

1 3/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg

Mix ingredients together and then add:

1/4 cup corn syrup and 2 tablespoons melted butter mixed with 1/4 cup dry cocoa

Roll dough into balls then roll the balls in sugar. Bake at 350 for 10 to 15 minutes
